Space Hulk: Deathwing Set To Release On PC Starting December 9th

Warhammer 40K fans should be excited to get their hands on Space Hulk: Deathwing seeing that it is due out early next month. Adding on to that, Focus Home Interactive, Games Workshop and Streum On Studio released a new trailer that also brings with it a chance to enter the game’s Closed Beta test. Space Hulk: Deathwing is set to release for PC on December 9th, and for PS4 and Xbox  in 2017.

If you forgot that Space Hulk: Deathwing was originally set to release in November, well, I can’t blame you seeing how there isn’t much info coming out by the devs to keep fans up to date. However, Focus Home Interactive wanted to break the silence and just released a new trailer with a bit of info regarding the game for those who are new:

“Space Hulk: Deathwing is a First-Person Shooter experience based on Games Workshop’s classic Space Hulk boardgame set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000.”

To elaborate further on Deathwing, it is running on the Unreal Engine 4 and offers four player “desperate battles” against the Genestealers. Players will be placed in tight tunnels of a Space Hulk, but the horde of enemies trying to kill you down claustrophobic hallways can be countered by gaining new skills, abilities and equipment found during missions.

I should also explain, especially if you are new to 40K, that Space Hulks drift along the current of the Warp, which stand to be the immaterial dimension of Chaos. They are made up of titanic sized, mangled asteroid, ship wrecks and other stellar debris, which can contain treasured and ancient technology. But, they are often riddled with brooding Genestealers.

In Deathwing the player takes on the role of a Space Marine from one of the most secret/feared Space Marines: the Deathwing of the Dark Angels Chapter. Players will be exploring Black Templar ships, troop transports and even pirate vessels that were drifted and torn in the Warp and intertwined with the Space Hulk Olethros’ bowels.

Before jumping into the video below, players, as a Librarian, can also master the destructive powers of the Psykers. Your skills and performance in battle will be rated and will grant Fervor Points to spend on three skill Trees, this allows you to improve your abilities and unlock new powers.

You can check out the new video that Focus Home Interactive posted up.

Space Hulk: Deathwing is set to release for PC on December 9th, and for PS4 and Xbox One sometime in 2017. However, if you want to join in on the “Deathwing Closed Beta” you can hit up Steam’s Community page to see if it’s something worth playing.
