Weekly Recap Nov 26th: TwitterGate, PizzaGate And Reddit’s Flub
(Last Updated On: November 26, 2016)

The big news of the week should have been about what people were thankful for this Thanksgiving. It should have been about celebrating gaming and having a great time in the world of interactive entertainment. Instead it was about the censorship being applied by social media giants like Reddit and Twitter as justice advocates and keyboard activists were attempting to expose pedophile rings.

TwitterGate erupted over hackers being banned from the service for attempting to out and report pedophile rings to the FBI. PizzaGate erupted in the midst of the Podesta e-mail leaks, but was shutdown shortly after Twitter banned the hackers – Reddit’s excuse was that they didn’t want to supply a platform for “witch hunting”. The reality is that they tried cutting off at the knees any attempts to piece together what appears to be a global conspiracy involving child trafficking. To top it all off, Reddit’s CEO, Steve Huffman, admitted to altering user comments during the PizzaGate scandal when the entire sub was banned. This has now called into question if maybe the entire thing was staged just so that Reddit’s administrators could ban the people investigating the pedophile rings. This all happened while someone supposedly investigating human trafficking and pedophile rings in Haiti, under the Clinton Foundation banner, ended up dead recently. These stories and more in this November 25th, 2016 edition of the Weekly Recap.
