Destiny Guide: Xur Location And Items Dec 22nd, 2016

Derpy Xur has turned up again, this time he’s back in the Tower and holds some pretty useless items at the moment. But if you want to buy from him and are looking for a guide for some of his “best” equipment, hopefully this guide will help you. Bungie’s Destiny is out now for Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4.

Seeing how derpy Xur doesn’t even hold Three of Coins this week it’s almost best just to skip him altogether. This means he’s pretty darn derpy, but if you want to take your chances and barter with Xur he’s got all helmets that aren’t so great, a fusion rifle that’s not too bad, Heavy Ammo Synthesis, vehicle upgrades, Glass Needles, Mote of Light and Exotic Shards.

If you aren’t into the whole Heavy Ammo Synthesis and you are more of a Three of Coins Guardian, the best Exotic item to opt for is the Plan C if you are a collector or like Fusion Rifles. If you like popping off a quick round after switching to a weapon, the perk on the Plan C is great for getting a close-to-med range strike off after running out of ammo in your other weapon for a surprise attack — but that’s if you are quick on switching and trigger pulling.

A video by Datto shows the inventory that Xur currently has for this time around, which you can find him by the big door near the Speaker.

For those looking for a quick rundown regarding Xur’s inventory you can check out the list sitting below:

  • (Titan Helmet) Empyrean Bellicose – 13 Strange Coins
  • (Hunter Helmet) Knucklehead Radar – 13 Strange Coins
  • (Warlock Helmet) The Ram – 13 Strange Coins
  • (Fusion Rifle) Plan C – 23 Strange Coins
  • (Engram) Legacy Helmet – 29 Strange Coins

TL;DR: Skip him if you don’t want to be disappointed. If you want to give him the time of day and buy some of his items in his inventory the best items so far might be picking up the Plan C, or maybe some Heavy Ammo Synths.

Destiny is out now for Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4. The expansion known as Rise of Iron is only available for PS4 and Xbox One.
