SCS Software released a new update for Eurotruck Simulator 2 called “Vive La France!”, featuring a new map expansion for the game set amid the boulevards, open highways and tight street corners of France.

This is the third major expansion for Eurotruck Simulator 2, which originally launched back in 2013 to critical and commercial acclaim. The game’s latest expansion is available for $18.99, which makes it $1 cheaper than the original Eurotruck Simulator 2 base game, which is available for only $19.99.

The new “Vive La France!” expansion features more than 20,000 kilometers of new roads, streets and highways to travel, as well as 15 new cities to explore, an all new French tollgate system, five new industrialized nuclear plant zones, and new cargoes to haul across various new cross-country missions.

Not only are there new roads to travel and new companies to work for, but they’ve also improved the graphical elements with enhanced foliage and vegetation, as well as an all new forest ecosystem that can affect the gameplay.

The DLC has already gotten off to a strong start, with very positive review scores being filed in for the game by dedicated fans.

It’s impressive that SCS Software is so dedicated to maintaining and updating old games with new content. Then again, Eurotruck Simulator 2 is an extremely popular game and the audience has managed to stick around for the truck-hauling sim for the past three years.
