Square Enix took to the Japanese official website for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue and posted up some new screenshots for fans to look over. The site holds a bevy amount of new stills to hold folks off until the game releases for PS4 on January 12th in Japan, and January 24th in the West.

The site details the systems of Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep — A Fragmentary Passage and new features of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. But that’s not all, the site also goes over some other stuff too.
Looking over to the site we learn that when the gauge appears while attacking enemies in-game it will build up and allow you to fill up a Situation Command trigger. Depending on the magic and attacks used while the gauge is filling up, the trigger Situation Command can change to something different.
Folks will be able to team up with King Mickey, who you meet in the World of Darkness, when things start getting tough. Additionally you will be able to use the Wayfinder technique with King Mickey, too.
Those who like to customize and add accessories to their characters will find that Aqua can be altered with her patterns and colors on her outfits. You can also collect decoration items by attempting and completing various challenges.
Finally, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue will launch for PS4 in Japan on January 12th, and in the West on January 24th. The game will include the all new Aqua-based Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep — A Fragmentary Passage in addition to an HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance and the Kingdom Hearts X: Back Cover movie.
