M.E.R.C., Tactical Strategy Game Coming To Steam In January

I’m not sure how this game will be on release after seeing the trailer from publisher and developer TinyMob Games, but if you are looking for an upcoming futuristic tactical strategy title M.E.R.C. could potentially be a fun game at its core. The indie game is set to hit PC via Steam Early Access on January 17th, 2017.

If you are into strategy games that are set in the future, which include tactical combat, there is a new game coming early next year for PC named M.E.R.C. that could be a fun game for RTS fans. The game’s description sits below if you are curious to learn more.

“Experience non-stop, real-time tactical combat with a 4-person squad. Upgrade and recruit units, enhance special abilities, while acquiring better weapons and gear. Take your toughest recruits into action in single player or co-op multiplayer to kick some serious Manta butt and save the world.”

In M.E.R.C. you control mercenaries that are in squads of four that are advance and can utilize cover to engage any situation with special abilities. Additionally the game allows you to break your team into two squads to make Alpha and Bravo team to secure objectives successfully.

M.E.R.C. also features co-op multiplayer for those who want to team up with their friends. Combine forces by taking your best two units into battles to take down the uprising of Manta when on the field.

RTS fans or gamers who want to get a nice look at the game can by watching a teaser trailer showing various segments of M.E.R.C. in action. The new trailer sits below for you to watch.

In my honest opinion the teaser trailer doesn’t really do anything special for me, especially with frame-rate issues sprawled throughout. Additionally, after watching the trailer the game seems a bit generic. However, a full trailer could change all of that seeing how we have like a month to go until the game releases — which could hold a more exciting version of the game.

If M.E.R.C. seems like something worth keeping an eye on you can head on over to Steam Early Access or playmerc.com to see more.
