Revelation Online CBT2 Client Is Available For Download announced that the Korean MMORPG, Revelation Online, has recently entered into its second closed beta testing phase. The first closed beta took place throughout October two months ago, but the second closed beta is ongoing right now.

Over on the official Revelation Online forums, they announced that those who already have a closed beta key from the first test will automatically be granted access to the second closed beta. If you didn’t already have access to the first closed beta, then you would have to purchase a founder’s pack in order to gain eligibility for the second closed beta.

There are three main founder’s packs. The first is a pack for $17.99 that grants you access to all the closed beta tests and early access for the game when it goes into open beta, and there’s also a month of premium status. The second pack is available for $59.99 and features all the stuff from the first pack but with some extra items and two months of premium status. The $89.99 deluxe pack features three months of premium status and unlocks an exclusive cat… because apparently a lot of people who spend inordinate amounts of time online love cats.

If all of this seems like a complete step above your level of care, maybe you’ll be a little more interested once you see the game in action. They released a CBT2 trailer for Revelation Online that you can check out below.

If this game wasn’t advertised as an MMO I would have assumed this was a Japanese action-RPG. The bosses in the game look tight, and the mix of aerial combat, gun-play and traditional sword-and-board skills makes the game come across as a mix between S4 League and Aion Online. That’s a sexy combination by the way.

If you decide to bite the bullet and put $17.99 down to participate in the beta tests, you will likely want to check the system requirements, because Revelation Online is no cheese cake. You’ll need at least 2.4GHz and 2GB of RAM with a GT 610 or Intel HD 4000 at the bare minimum. That’s pretty bare bones, but the game scales up in requirements so that if you want to look the way it does in the trailer you’ll need an i5 at 2.8Ghz, 8GB of RAM and a GTX 750TI with 2GB of VRAM. No matter where your PC fits on the requirement spectrum, you will need at least 30GB of free hard drive space to play Revelation Online.

If you meet all the basic requirements and you have a closed beta key, you can head on over to the website and grab the Revelation Online CBT2 client from the download page.
