Mecha fans looking to get the English version of Super Robot Wars V will find that the game will launch both physically and digitally for PS4 and PS Vita in Asia on February 23rd. This information comes from Bandai Namco, who also provided some in-game screenshots showing various characters and abilities.
Before jumping into all of the details regarding the game you can check out some screenshots showing over 10 images of Super Robot Wars V.
Looking over the basic summary that Bamco provided, players will be able to choose from different main characters that span across many different mecha series. Additionally players can choose from Soji Murakumo (male) and Chitose Kisaragi (female). Sub-characters are also an option, but whichever character players pick, they will begin the game with the VangRay, a prototype anti-alien mobile weapon developed by the 3rd Special Tactical Lab.
Furthermore, a 25th anniversary bonus will be present and will bring forth the Grungust and Huckebein robots from 4th Super Robot Wars, which stands as a nice treat for those who like Grungust and Huckebein.
The new Mazinger, the Mazin Emperor G, will make its first appearance in the series. The unit is based off the Great Mazinger, and features some pretty hefty feats. Wielding an Emperor Aureole on its back, it also sports the Great Smasher Punch and Emperor Blade. Folks who are curios as to who the pilot is will find that it’s Tetsuya Tsurugi.
The English version will also feature the same three bonuses as the Japanese version. This includes in-game currency, Tac points, Power Points, Grungust and Huckebein, and much more.
If you can’t wait and seek to get your hands on the game, be it the physical or digital version, Super Robot Wars V is set to come out for PS4 and PS Vita in Asia on February 23rd.
