Yakuza 0 Trailer Focuses On Big Battles In Little Tokyo

The newest trailer for Yakuza 0 for the PS4 focuses on the game’s battle system. Sega dropped the trailer recently to give gamers a quick look at what the combat is like in the upcoming beat-’em-up game.

The trailer clocks in at just a minute and a half, and the first few seconds is a primer to let you know that the game has plenty of fisticuffs and lots of bad guys to pummel in the face. They cover Kiryu’s fighting styles, showcasing his brawling abilities that see him punching people without remorse and using objects to beat the badness out of their soul. They also show his rush abilities, which sees the well-dressed Yakuza member using quick attacks and trip-maneuvers to take opponents off their feet.

You can see the moves and the actions in play with the trailer below.

The third style is Beast mode… it focuses on Kiryu’s unfathomable strength, as he uses large objects within the environment to swat down his opponents like the UFC governing body swatting down Brock Lesnar for going into his fight roided up.

The rest of the trailer spotlights the other playable character in Yakuza 0… Majima.

The has the ability to take down foes using his Thug tactics, which sees him brutalizing foes by smashing them into walls, breaking coin banks over their heads and attempting to kick their face clean off their head.

His Slugger fighting style sees him using objects such as bats to completely pulverize anyone standing in his way, or unlucky enough to get grabbed and trapped in the dangerous Yakuza’s hold. The third fighting style is Breaker, which allows Majima to execute combo attacks using breakdancing moves. It looks absolutely ridiculous, but Yakuza 0 knows not to take itself too seriously.

You can customize and outfit both fighters with the abilities and moves you feel best suits your play-style, and upgrade and modify those skills along the way.

You won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on Yakuza 0. The game is expected to launch in the West starting January 24th, 2017, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. You can learn more by visiting the official Yakuza 0 website.
