One Piece Thousand Storm Pre-Registration Open For Android, iOS Users

Bandai Namco announced that their upcoming One Piece Thousand Storm mobile game has recently opened up its pre-registration for iOS and Android devices.

The mobile phone game is classified as an action 3D RPG, featuring the cast of characters from the One Piece anime. The game is actually a lot better looking than I thought it would be. Usually a company says “mobile!” and I think some pathetic little piece of software like Flappy Bird or whatever.

Anyway, One Piece Thousand Storm actually is a 3D beat-’em-up for up to three players. Crazy, right? Well, yeah it’s a three player beat-’em-up with role-playing elements. It’s tough to draw a comparison to another game, but it’s similar to isometric hack-and-slash titles. You can see what the gameplay is like with the trailer below.

The game has seven bosses to battle and follows the stories based around the “2 Years Ago” and “New World” arcs.

There are also a number of cards in the game to collect, and various characters from the Straw Hat Pirates that will be available to play.

For the first 50,000 people who pre-register the game either for iOS or Android, you’ll receive three berry cards and five rainbow coins. When more than 100,000 people pre-register they’ll receive three Trafalgar Law medals and five rainbow coins.

They also appear to have some other mystery items as well for what might presumably be the 250,000 pre-register mark and 500,000 pre-register mark.

You can sign-up right now for either Android or iOS devices by visiting the official One Piece Thousand Storm website. It’s not really my kind of game, but it doesn’t look like the kind of trash one would usually expect from a mobile title. At least it’s an actual game.

They don’t mention a release date but usually pre-registration happens shortly before a game launches, so expect the game to launch soon on mobile devices.
