Persona 5 Gains Four New Trailers Entitled “Confidants”

Persona 5 has four new trailers covering characters such as Shinya Oda, Chihaya Mifune, Yuuki Mishima, and Ichiko Ohya. The new videos also come with brief bios detailing the characters, which is considered spoiler content if you’ve been holding out on P5 information. Atlus is set to release the game that’s already out in Japan in the West on April 4th for PS3 and PS4.

First up on the list is the pint-sized MLG pro Shinya Oda. The kid can be found in Akihabara arcade — firing away at the games. Spending time with him can help the Phantom Thieves learn some useful gun skills that can be used in battle, such as the ability to enter a gun-based All-out Attack after a successful ambush with Bullet Hail, scare enemies during negotiation with Warning Shot, and much more. His video (along with the rest) comes in thanks to AtlusUSA.

In the realm of Persona 5 it’s always smart to have a fortune-teller from time to time, and luckily the Phantom Thieves know a very good one named Chihaya Mifune. Using cards to predict the protagonist’s fortune, she’ll be able to perform special readings that can add useful buffs like increasing the growth rate of a social stat or deepening a bond with a specific confidant. Her introduction video sits below.

Yuuki Mishima is a social media savant who uncovers the alter ego of the Phantom Thieves Aficionado website — known as the Phan-Site. Besides building up the phan-base, he’ll also be able to support the thieves with buffs that increase EXP earned from battles, allow backup members to earn EXP, and do much more.

When she’s not busy chasing a lead, journalist Ichiko Ohya can be found enjoying a drink at the Crossroads Bar in Shinjuku. Providing special deals, the protagonist supplies her with interesting bite-sized info about the Thieves, and she’ll write articles about them. This makes it harder for the security level to fill during Palace heists.

Persona 5 already released in Japan, however folks in the West will get the game on PS3 and PS4 starting on April 4th.
