Designer Creates Dog Tongue Stickers for The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con

The Nintendo Switch‘s launch date is literally just around the corner, and very soon you’ll be able to get your hands on one.

However, I never noticed before that the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con controller looked a lot like a derpy puppy face, that is, not until designers Nintendeal slapped a puppy mouth sticker on it, and there it is, a derpy puppy face controller!

If you can’t see the puppy face you have to look closely, the floppy ears are the two back hand grips while the eyes are the two analog sticks, slap that dog tongue sticker in the middle and it completes the look. I honestly didn’t think anyone would want a dog tongue sticker on their controller, but I was obviously wrong because when Nintendeal launched their Kickstarter campaign, more than 500 backers jumped on the bandwagon to support the project. You don’t just have to put these stickers on the Joy-Con though, these bad boys can go on anything, and the creators have demonstrated that it can also fit on a cellphone case as well.

The creators were only asking for $1,000 USD to launch their Nintendo Switch Joy-Con dog tongue sticker project, but so far they have already shattered that goal and they are currently sitting at $3,657 USD. Now the amazing thing about this is that I just checked the goal last night before I went to bed, and the earned amount was a little over $2,000 USD, so overnight, they have made close to $1,500 to help fund their sticker project. That’s actually quite impressive really. The creators at Nintendeal give a few more details about these stickers with the below quote, as they tell the dimensions of the stickers, as well as the materials used to create them.

“The stickers are pretty small, measuring about 1.5″ by 1”, but they’re the perfect size to fit on the face of the Joy-Con, just under the “nose.” We hope you like them as much as we do.

Die-cut with no border around the sticker to improve realism on Joy-Con

Matte laminate material

Long-lasting, super-duper sticky

Spill resistant maybe? (not tested)

Cat resistant probably (yeah, kinda tested actually)

Pretty small (a good fit)

Easy to apply (especially if you have thumbs)

Looks OK on other stuff”

If you would like to support the project and get your very own  Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Dog tongue sticker, then head on over to the official Kickstarter page to learn more. The project currently still has 10 days left before it ends.
