Oasis Games announced that the horror-puzzle title Dying Reborn will launch for the PlayStation 4 for PlayStation VR headsets starting February 28th for $19.99 on PS4 and $9.99 on PSVR.
The game sees players taking on the role of Matthew, in search of his missing sister. Matthew finds himself going missing after he’s captured and trapped inside of a deadly hostel. It’s just like the movie Hostel, except the premise isn’t retarded!
Essentially players will have to help Matthew navigate his way out of his room, avoiding traps and solving puzzles to make his way through the hostel in search of his missing sister.
You can check out the trailer below to see what the game is like in action on the PlayStation VR.
Dying Reborn is one of three games Oasis Games have set to publish for VR devices as a way to help lure more gamers into taking up interest in VR.
So far nothing on the PlayStation VR has really been standout. Dying Reborn appears to offer gamers more of the motion-oriented puzzle solving that has been present in various other VR titles that have released on PC and PSVR in recent times. However, if you’re looking for a game that really pushes virtual reality to the next limit, you’re not really going to find it in Dying Reborn.
Then again, like in the case of Crytek’s Robinson The Journey, a lot of gamers weren’t interested in some huge graphical renaissance, they just wanted a fun puzzle-exploration game that really focused on the immersion factors of VR.
If you want to expand your library of VR titles for your PlayStation VR headset, you can look to get Dying: Reborn for the headset starting February 28th next week. For more info feel free to visit the official Oasis Games website.
