Indie developer Dojo Games seeks to bring heavy amounts of blood, excessive gore, sexy females, complex one hit combat, and stylized moves to gamers in a unique side-scrolling fighting game that’s in 3D. The name of this game is Slice Dice & Rice and it is currently seeking votes on Steam Greenlight.
If you could take the old Mortal Kombat games, Samurai Showdown and Bushido Blade and fuse them all together you would get Dojo Games’ Slice Dice & Rice. Sporting no health, loads of blood and a complex fighting system, the game is something that is more than welcomed on Steam Greenlight.
The official description sits below for you to look over.
“Slice Dice & Rice is an indie fighting game with no health bars. Inspired by Bushido Blade, it revolves around the idea of finding an opening in opponents defense and ending the round with a single, clean hit.”
Moves in this game can be canceled to feint an attack, which means that you can throw a move at your counterpart and then stop mid-way to perform another attack to cut them down quickly.
The idea behind the game is to be simple enough that it becomes complex in nature. This means that there aren’t a lot of combinations to remember, but you can use your weapons to clash with one another, parry attacks, and use feint attacks to define your playstyle.
Before showing the trailer, look over how fluent and nice the characters move from a product of Greenlight. You can see from the GIFs that a great amount of time and effort went into this nice looking project.
This now brings us to the actual trailer that comes in by Dojo Games.
As of now there are only eight characters to choose from, all sporting their own unique fighting styles. The roster of characters fighting styles provide quick monk attacks using bare fist, a giant sword, dual blades to speedy swords.
You can hit up Steam Greenlight to learn more or to vote for this game.
