Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Beta Gameplay Videos Released

A new gameplay trailer and some beta footage for Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 have emerged. The minute long trailer from CI Games focuses on the three different styles of play, highlighting the Eastern European culture and environments while showcasing how to be a sniper, a ghost and a warrior.

The trailer depicts the game closer to the likes of Escape From Tarkov than its other open-world relative, Far Cry. They keep the action tight, taut and focused on the goal at hand, highlighting how Jon is in Georgia not just to deconstruct the enemy regime but also to find and free his brother. You can check it out below.

Now if you want to get in on the open beta, you’re fresh out of luck because registration is closed. For those of you who did manage to get in on the beta, you can enjoy the two missions provided in the open-world sniping game.

Centerstrain01 tossed up a couple of videos, along with various other YouTubers, showcasing what the two missions are like in CI Games’ upcoming title. You can check it out below.

The beta only has the “Normal” option as far as difficulty is concerned. Centerstrain01 notes that he only does “Sniper” and “Ghosting”… there is no room for being a “Warrior” on his channel. I guess you’ll have to stick with Rise of the Tomb Raider for the Rambo stuff.

He notes that Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 plays out a heck of a lot like Far Cry 2. This is very similar to my own opinions of the game, which seems very similar to the classic Ubisoft title that was proceeded by far more casual outings in the Far Cry franchise.

The beta videos start by showcasing some of the customization features, as well as the sleeping function. The sleeping function can be used to choose the time of day for your mission. You can choose when to wake up. This is ideal for choosing when to tackle a mission and what time of day will best suit your purpose. A lot of gamers going for the stealth aspect will likely want to take on missions at night.

The game also reminds me a little bit of Hitman in terms of its sandbox approach to taking on missions. It’s not restrictive like Assassin’s Creed games, where you have to follow very specific routines and actions in order to complete the missions.

One thing Centerstrain01 also points out that I think is very important is that not every NPC you encounter is a villain. There are some civilian NPCs driving, walking and moving about as well, so it gives it a more realistic vibe compared to Far Cry 2, where everyone was out to get you.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is due out for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
