Are you a fan of Ys? Good news for you if you are seeing that Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana now sports an official gameplay video that reveals combat, traveling and much more. The PS Vita version of the game is already available in Japan, but Lacrimosa of Dana is set to come Westward for PS4, PS Vita and PC this Fall.

The return of Ys is finally coming for fans of the series, which has been gone close to eight years. The brand new adventure brings a new story for folks to indulge in that sees main character Adol awaken in a shipwreck, stranded on a dangerous island that’s cursed. Stuck on the island, he and the other shipwrecked survivors must challenge ferocious beasts and explore strange ruins on the isolated island.

In addition to the story of the new game, Adol begins to dream of a mysterious blue-haired maiden living in an unknown world. This is where, you, the player steps in to unravel the secrets that lie ahead.

Moreover, players will not only follow Adol and his companions learning the mysteries of the cursed island, but learning the mysterious of the blue-haired maiden through her unique gameplay segments.

Speaking of switching perspectives during the game, folks will find that Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana sports the ability to switch between other characters on the fly. This feature plays well when battling formidable enemies, and to perform lightning-quick attacks to decimate anything that stands in your way.

The island is also noted to hold a lot of shipwrecked passengers that you will be able to rescue. Once saved and brought to your village, each passenger will contribute something of value to help you on your journey.

But enough of me rambling on about the game’s features and on with the new gameplay video by NihonFalcomSince1981, which you can view below.
