Looking to tame the MicroRaptor in Studio WildCard’s Ark: Survival Evolved? If so, this guide will teach you where to find the small raptor and how to tame while you adventure around and about the dangerous island. Ark Survival Evolved is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
If you want to learn how to find and tame the newly implemented MicroRaptor — who arrived in update v751.0 for Xbox One, v505.0 for PS4 and v255.0 on PC — you can check out a video guide by YouTuber Jade Plays Games.
The Microraptor Gnarilongus is one of the smallest non-avian or flying dinosaurs on the strange island. But where it lacks in aerodynamics it makes up for it through its incredible speed for its size.
It’s worth noting that the Microraptor is quite aggressive when you’re attempting to hunt it. The creature will attack any formidable presence that comes close, but will turn to other tactics like stunning someone before fleeing.
While these creatures are arguably more skittish and a bit timid at times, one should not try to attack or capture a MicroRaptor while weak or in danger. If you happen to encounter one of these creatures and seek to tame it, you should position yourself in a near safe place and use the bola and pelt until it is knocked out. It’s worth noting that you can still face minimal physical damage from a MicroRaptor when it is hit with the bola, so beware.
Below are two charts showing everything you need to tame the MicroRaptor — first chart holds level 1 and level 30 taming tips, and chart two holds level 60 and level 90 taming tips.
If you are looking for this tiny raptor and want it on your side, you can find it by heading over to the Western Plains, Redwood Forest, Southern Islets, and the Smuggler’s Pass. It’s worth noting that every location mentioned aside the Smuggler’s Pass has a higher chance of spawning the MicroRaptor, while the latter has a smaller chance of spawning it.
