Blizzard, Square Enix, Magic: The Gathering Will Be Present At MomoCon 2017

The 13th annual MomoCon event set to take place at the Goergia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, will play host to brand new panels this year, including featuring appearances from Square Enix designer Takatsugu Nakazawa from Final Fantasy XV, and Raio Mitsuno.

Mitsuno is a global brand manager for Final Fantasy and will deliver the keynote address at this year’s MomoCon event. There will also be a live performance from composer Naoshi Mizuta, who worked on Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Blizzard Entertainment will also have a presence at MomoCon, including having a panel setup featuring the community manager Josh Engen, and visual effects artist Rachel Day. They will also have a panel with the voice actors and actresses, including Charlet Chung, Matthew Mercer, Jonny Cruz and Fred Tatasciore. The lead writer for the voice lines, Michael Chu, will be moderating the panel.

The HTC Vive VR headset will also be present with a hands-on demo booth being made available. VR continues to be a big presence at events, even though there are still no real games or good games made for VR headsets.

The annual MomoCon Indie Game Awards will also take center stage to highlight 20 of the finalists for year’s event. They’ve been stepping up their efforts as a way to bring a more merit-driven element to awarding indies in the gaming space after years of controversy plagued the IGF.

The Co-Optional Podcast crew will be in attendance, along with Marisha Ray and Taliesin Jaffe from Critical Role. If you follow those peeps then you’ll probably be excited to see them in person.

This year’s MomoCon will take place between May 25th and May 28th over the weekend at the end of next month. For more info be sure to visit the official website.
