Brawlout, Smash Bros-Esque Fighter Enters Early Access On April 20th

Angry Mob Games announced that their new title, Brawlout, is set to enter into Early Access on Steam starting April 20th later this month. The cartoony, competitive platformer will then arrive on the Xbox One and on the PlayStation 4 later on in the third quarter of 2017.

Bogdan Iliesiu, CEO of Angry Mob Games commented about the game’s upcoming release into Early Access, stating in the press release…

“With a gorgeous animated style, six playable characters with unique special attacks, new combo options, more movement abilities and advanced tech moves, we are excited to announce our Early Access launch”[…]

“We’ve heard what players miss from classic fighters and what they love about new ones, and Brawlout is designed to give people the best of both worlds, whether that’s ruining friendships around the TV or going online to anger strangers in tournaments.”

For those of you who don’t know, Brawlout is essentially Super Smash Bros. for non-Nintendo platforms.

A lot of gamers have been begging for something equivalent to Nintendo’s popular multiplayer fighter, but the closest thing we’ve had is PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale… and that was… not very impressive to say the least.

With the PC version hitting Early Access, you can expect to see the home console version only after they’ve ironed out all the kinks, creases and cat faces, and ensured that the bugs, glitches and errors are all squashed out.

If you haven’t seen Brawlout before, you can check out the gameplay trailer below to get an idea of what it looks like in action.

So yeah… it’s a non-Nintendo Super Smash Bros.

The game is designed to accommodate both local multiplayer and online multiplayer.

You can look to get your hands on the game at the end of the month, or you can learn more about the characters, combat and gameplay features by visiting the Steam store page.
