Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Denuvo DRM Cracked By CPY

The torrent file for BioWare and Electronic Arts’ Mass Effect: Andromeda has made its way onto the interwebs. The game has officially been cracked by the CPY scene group, making their feat feasible within the span of just 10 days.

DSO Gaming caught wind of the news and did a quick report about how Denuvo is consistently being cracked a lot quicker than it used to. Resident Evil 7 was reportedly cracked within five days of its launch. It took CPY 10 days with Mass Effect: Andromeda.

If you search through the usual places, you’ll find that there’s now a 51GB cracked version of the sci-fi space epic floating around the torrent scene. As you can see in the detailed image below of the torrent file, the game was only just recently cracked as of today, April 4th, 2017.

The file is still slowly seeding its way through the network, so it’ll be a while before people are regularly downloading and sharing the game. That’s not to mention that 51GB is no laughing matter.

This news is definitely going to be a huge blow to the potential PC sales of Mass Effect: Andromeda especially given that a lot of people have been completely disenfranchised due to the poor quality of the game’s graphical design for the characters and dialogue, as well as the passe story and the limited character creation. Many more people were rather peeved at the identity politics and SJW influences that managed to find their way into the game.

Now PC gamers will be able to get their hands on it without paying a dime for it.

A rival scene group, 3DM, had previously mentioned that they were considering taking a year off from cracking games due to Denuvo, but it looks like crackers in the torrent scene are now reinvigorated and back to doing what they do best now that they’ve figured out Denuvo’s weakness.

If the launch day sales for Mass Effect: Andromeda weren’t impressive, this is only going to be an extra nail in the coffin for both BioWare and EA.
