Monster Hunter Frontier Z Adds 2B Costume, Weapons From NieR: Automata
Monster Hunter Frontier Z

Capcom and Square Enix have cross-collaborated for the latest update of the Japanese MMO, Monster Hunter Frontier Z. The game is set to receive some new costumes and weapons based on the characters and themes from Platinum Games’ NieR: Automata.

Sankaku Complex caught wind of the news from a recently released promo trailer featuring a minute and a half worth of content of 2B and 9S battling the machines while out in the desert. The trailer also teases NPCs for Popola and Devola, along with introducing new weapons for hunters to use based on the weapons featured in NieR: Automata. You can check it out below.

Sadly, the model construction and movement for the content looks a little off… almost like it’s the special-needs version of 2B.

Even still, the trailer is definitely put together nicely, and if you weren’t paying attention it would have been easy to mistake Monster Hunter Frontier F as NieR: Automata.

One of the other big selling points of the trailer is the NieR theme that plays in the background. They also don’t hesitate to give gamers plenty of upskirt shots of 2B racing toward one of the giant monsters in the field. Sadly, the mesh lacks the sex appeal of 2B from Automata, but there’s still some boob physics if you’re interested.

Over the years Capcom has had plenty of cross-over content for Monster Hunter Frontier. They’ve had Artoria from Fate/Stay, as well as the various military corps from Attack on Titan complete with their 3D gear. Capcom has managed to strike some deals with their fellow Japanese content publishers to keep gamers interested and coming back for more in Monster Hunter Frontier Z for PC and PS4.

Starting tomorrow on April 19th, you’ll be able to get your hands on 2B and 9S from NieR: Automata in Monster Hunter Frontier Z. Alternatively you can pick up a copy of NieR for PC or PS4 right now from local retailers and participating online distributors.
