To celebrate NieR: Automata reaching the one million shipment milestone Square Enix and Platinum Games took to a live stream to reveal said game’s downloadable content. The DLC that brings outfits from the original NieR, more quests and other features to the base game, is set to come out in Japan on May 2nd and to the West “soon”.
If you like DLC that is supposed to add extra content to a game and not core features in a game later, and if you happen to like both NieR and NieR: Automata, you’ll probably fancy this DLC entitled “3C3C1D119440927”. As noted above, the DLC was announced during the game’s “one million shipment” live stream, which revealed quite a bit of stuff for fans to look over.
The DLC will include three new Colosseum missions to take up, even more sub-quests, and many cosmetic changes. Some of the content in the DLC that Square Enix revealed sits below:
- Costumes from the previous NieR game for 2B, 9S and A2
- “Revealing Outfit” for 2B
- “Young Man’s Outfit” for 9S
- “Destroyer Outfit” for A2
- New music added to the Jukebox
- New equipment and cosmetic accessories that allow changes to 2B and A2’s hair
- Masks with unique “on equip” effects
- Special bullets that change the appearance of enemy bullets
