Squad’s Free Weekend And Alpha 9.3 Update Now Live

Have you ever wanted to try Offworld Industries’ first-person shooter, Squad? If you’ve ever wanted to play the game but always put it off, now is the time seeing that the game is free all during this weekend, which runs from Friday to Sunday. Squad and its latest update (Alpha 9.3) is available right now for PC via Steam Early Access.

Recently announced by publisher and developer Offworld Industries, the first-person shooter game named Squad has received a free weekend trail for those looking to play the game, two new updates listed as Alpha 9.2 and 9.3, and a trailer that shows a new map called Al Basrah.

For those who are new to the scene and never played nor heard of Squad, you can freshen up your knowledge by reading the description below.

“Squad is a 50 vs 50 multiplayer first-person shooter that aims to capture combat realism through communication and teamplay. Major features include vehicle-based combined arms gameplay, large scale environments, base building, and integrated positional VoIP for proximity talking & radio.”

All of the above is constantly being added throughout the game’s run through Early Access. And I know what you are thinking “yet another game stuck in the clutches of Early Access?” Yes, but at least the devs are still sticking with the project and updating it, just like how they added the new stage Al Basrah.

You can check out the new map in a reveal trailer that was published not too long ago. The video shows the humid and hot streets and pathways of Al Basrah, opting for CQB, intermediate and long-range conflicts.

If you want to check out the game even more and want additional information you can head on over to Steam Early Access or Squad’s main site. If those two sites that provide more info on the game are not enough, you can check out some gameplay footage showing Squad in action.

In addition to the above, the video comes in by DiplexHeated and shows what squad is all about.
