X-Plane 11 Guide: Here’s How To Take Off And Land

Do you like plane games? Do you also like realistic simulators? If so, this guide will teach you how to land and take off in Laminar Research’s plane simulator game, X-Plane 11. The plane sim is now available for PC via Steam.

If you are looking for a guide to take off and land in X-Plane 11, hopefully this guide will help you to do so. If you are new to this title and have no idea what X-Plane 11 offers, the game’s official description sits below for you to read over.

“The future of flight simulation is now. X-Plane 11 is the detailed, realistic, and modern simulator you’ve been waiting for, with a intuitive user interface, 3-D cockpits, and new effects and features. New in X-Plane 11A completely redesigned, intuitive user interface that makes setting up and editing your flight.”

Now that the description is out of the way, you can learn some of the basics to fly a plane and landing it after you are done cruising around in the sky. For beginners it is best to start with a small plane like the Cessna, but if you want to use something like the 737 it is suggested that you watch the two video guides below.

The first video that covers how to startup and somewhat take off runs well over 30 minutes. The reason for this is that the video goes into much detail on both maneuvers and offers a checklist to help beginners and those testing out the 737 plane.

You can watch the first video by X-Check who does a pretty nice job on teaching newcomers what’s what, and how to operate the default 737 plane.

The next and last video guide comes in by Progrmr, who teaches you how to actually take off, fly around and then land a plane. It’s obviously a little more difficult given the logistics involved, but anyone interested in better understanding these core mechanics in X-Plane 11 will at least have the following info to use in order to improve their flying skills.

X-Plane 11 is out now for PC and currently runs for $59.99 on Steam as of this writing. If you want more info or tips on the flying sim you can hit up Steam’s Community guide page.
