Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Will Hit The Switch This Fall In The West

The latest news regarding Dimps’ Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and the Nintendo Switch comes in via a tweet made by Bandai Namco, who noted on the social media platform that DBX2 will hit the Switch sometime in the Fall of this year in the West. The fighting game has been out since 2016 and is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

If you are a fan of both Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and the Nintendo Switch, then you are in luck given that publisher Bandai Namco and developer Dimps will bring the 2016 fighting game to said device.

This was revealed on May 20th by Bandai Namco’s Twitter account, standing to be a release window reveal for DBX2 coming to the Switch. You can check out the announcement below.

The Switch version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will feature ad-hoc play, motion control support and two-player battles on said platform using the Joy-Con devices, which can be seen above as clear as day.

As one would expect, this information stirred up a lot of comments about the Switch variant being a neutered version out of the four platforms, and I’m sure from there you know what followed next.

In addition to the above, a lot of people are in debate that the game will run like trash when it’s ported over to the Switch near the end of this year. One main jab that I see the most is that the Switch’s motion controls are crap, but having played the Switch myself and testing the motion controls they’re pretty responsive. However, only time will tell if the Switch version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be a decent version of the game or an abysmal port when more info spills in the near future.

Lastly, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
