Dragon Quest XI Screenshots Show Off Creatures And Mounts

The latest news regarding Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time has surfaced through screenshots showing mounts and animals in the DQXI universe. The game is set to come out in Japan for PS4 and the Nintendo 3DS on July 29th.

Square Enix has updated its official Japanese website showing screenshots of Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time and its mounts. The screenshots reveal both the PS4 and 3DS versions of the game and covers new monsters like the Bee Rider and the Pearl Mobile.

Like one would expect, the mounts are used to traverse around the world faster whether it be by land or air — and it’s also possible that liquid-based creatures can sail a player across water-like substances.

You can tame a mountable creature by simply battling it and emerging victorious enough in that it will become passive and obey you. From here other unreachable locations will become accessible via climbing walls, flying and so on.

The official site also details the latest enemies added to the game consisting of the Bee Rider and Pearl Mobile. The former’s bio sits below:

“An elite in the Ocovolt world that rides a giant bee. They skillfully combine the needle of the bee and their own lance to attack their enemies.”

The latter’s bio also sits below:

“A machine made of an unknown metal that has the radiance of a pearl. It shoots out a dangerous gas that numbs the body when it showers over it.”

The screenshots showing the latest enemies and rides are up for your viewing pleasure. To see all of the newest batch of stills you can hit up dq11.jp.
