How To Kill Jason In Friday The 13th: The Game

Illfonic and Gun Media’s Kickstarted Friday The 13th: The Game has been beta tested and tested and tested some more, but it wasn’t until the game officially released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC did gamers discover that there’s a way to actually kill Jason in a match instead of running from him like refugees fleeing Syria.

There are various video guides available explaining how to kill Jason good and dead. One video goes through the process rather quickly, managing to roll out the details in less than two minutes. Check it out below courtesy of GF Laser Bolt.

The first thing you’ll need to do is grab the sweater from Jason’s house where the alter is located, and make sure that you’re a female counselor, because it won’t work unless you are. You’ll need it later.

Knock off Jason’s mask using multiple melee weapons. You’ll likely need all of your party mates to join in on this, each grabbing a melee weapon and using it to hit Jason square in the face. In the video he suggests using a machete, but bats should also work.

Next up, have one of the counselors escape or die after you use the CB radio to call in Tommy Jarvis, a long-running hero from the Friday The 13th movie series. When the player dies they’ll have the option to respawn as Tommy.

Surround Jason and have the counselor with the special sweater from Jason’s cabin get close to him and activate the sweater. This will stun Jason for a short amount of time; during this time have all of the counselors surround Jason and beat the ever living crap out of him just like those cops beating on Rodney King.

Make sure you beat Jason enough until he’s down on his knees. Once he’s on his knees the person playing as Tommy has to use the interaction button with Jason and it will cue a cutscene where Tommy will use the machete to kill Jason once and for so you can win the round.

Friday The 13th: The Game is available right now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game is multiplayer only at the moment, but they plan on releasing the single-player campaign story mode this fall.
