Set within the same universe as MoeNovel’s LoveKami -Divinity Stage-, the next chapter in their ongoing visual novel series LoveKami has recently released on Steam. The visual novel is available right now for $12.99 but you can get it at a 10% off discount for only $11.69 during the first week of the game being on sale.
The Live2D visual novel follows the story of a naughty goddess who descends to Tokyo, Japan. Players take on the role of Sho Naurmi who encounters the naughty goddess, known as an Aragami, who has fallen to the streets below. She’s been causing frequent problems for the town such as forcing power outages to happen… just because she can.
When Sho discovers that the Aragami has been the bane of his hometown, he sets out to rehabilitate the naughty goddess and teach her the ways of being good. The Aragami is named Akane Tsubaki, and she’s a stubborn one who does exactly what she wants, when she wants.
Sho will receive a bit of help with his goddess issue from another earth goddess named Inori Kamiki, as well as a fellow classmate named Maika Kunugi. The game’s launch trailer and opening movie gives you a decent idea of what the Live2D animations and character designs are like, as well as what the general tone of the visual novel. Check it out below.
The animations and character designs are consistently well done. A lot of the people who enjoy visual novels actually like the designs and the cutesy-moe themes of MoeNovel’s latest outing.
Of course, if you’re not into visual novels is this likely the sort of thing worth passing over for something more akin to your tastes.
For those of you interested in the game but feel a little left out of the loop story-wise, MoeNovel has a bundle deal on LoveKami games, where you can get both this latest game and the original game for 26% off the normal price, making both VNs available for $19.29 for a limited time. Alternatively you can get all of MoeNovel’s titles in a bundle pack for 45% off the normal price, for only $22.42.
