A plethora of new content has recently flooded Nier: Automata, including new outfits and masks for 2B, 9S and A2, the three playable androids in the hack-and-slash action-RPG from Platinum Games and Square Enix.
The name of the DLC is inconveniently named “3C3C1D119440927”.
It features two new boss fights against Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda, and a fight against Platinum Games CEO, Kenichi Sato. Both the real life executives join other boss machines in the new exhibition Colosseum mode where players will duke it out against increasingly difficult enemies. You can scope out the new content for Nier: Automata in the trailer below.
As outlined over on the update page for the new DLC, there are also new records to add to the in-game jukebox, so you can listen to some additional music while you’re loitering about in town.
New cosmetic accessories, masks and hairspray are also available in-game, with the hairspray option giving gamers the ability to dye the hair of 2B and A2. Cosmetic bullet changes have also been added to the game as well.
And… last but certainly not least are the three new outfits for A2, 9S and 2B. A2 gets a destroyer outfit while 9S gets a young man’s outfit. 2B, however, gets the most distinct costume of the three… Kaine’s outfit from Nier: Replicant.
The lingerie battle gear will surely make all those who hate boob armor squeal in disgust. The perfect remedy for making SJWs salty.
It’s striking how much detail they put into the design of 2B. If you look closely enough you can actually see the subsurface veins in her texture map, with the ever-so-realistic slight discoloration from that pigmentation of skin tone.
Equally as impressive is the next shot of 2B standing in a field of glowing flowers wearing Kaine’s outfit.
The screenshot highlights the distinct light vectors on the normal map that highlights the definition of her shapely figure from her shin to her knee, as well as the muscles in her calves and thighs. The lighting also highlights the time and mapping dedication the artists applied to her upper body as well, with the lights highlighting her bicep and deltoid muscles.
The detail in her design is absolutely exquisite.
