Slowdrive Is Hard Driving For The New Era Of Steam Gamers

One Brave Brobot’s new stunt-driving 3D simulator called Slowdrive recently received a new trailer. The game is a low-poly game where players have to attempt to get a Sloth home by journeying through 60 short but challenging driving maps.

Some of these maps center around how well you can take turns and weave through obstacles. Other tracks focus on how well you can take some jumps and bumps, and land without flying off the track. Other tracks are about precision and timing.

You can see how the physics work and what the content is like with the launch trailer below.

The trailer really won me over with the trick driving, stunt driving, and even dodging Cthulhu monsters!

The real highlight is that the track challenges will have you performing some crazy stunts not unlike what you might see in your favorite action film, such as driving on two wheels or squeezing in between tight corners, all while attempting to keep the car from flipping over, crashing, or falling off the ledge.

It reminds me a lot like a new version of the classic arcade game Hard Driving. That old gem was as frustrating as it was fun, and the low-poly aesthetic definitely draws me back to that retro classic. It’s tough to tell from the trailer how well the game handles, though, so you might want to check out the user reviews first before diving in.

Slowdrive isn’t some game trying to be a big, huge blockbuster. The developers, One Brave Robot, are only selling the game on Steam for $5.99. You can get it for the first week of it being on sale for 15% off the normal price for nly $5.09, which isn’t too bad.

It’s a single-player game with controller support, and so far the user reviews are quite positive. If you want to see more or learn more about the game, feel free to visit the official Steam store page.
