A lot of YouTubers, males and females, anti-SJWs and feminists alike, seem quite incensed at a VidCon panel that took place featuring one of the most controversial figures in the third-wave feminist movement, Anita Sarkeesian. The panel was called “Women Online Discussion”, and the reason it’s receiving so much backlash is because while Sargon of Akkad (real name Carl Benjamin) and various other YouTube content creators were in attendance, Sarkeesian specifically pointed to Sargon and called him “human garbage” to a resounding applause from the feminists in the audience.
Computer Forever captured footage of the incident, posting up a 23 minute video covering the event, which you can view below.
If you don’t have time to watch the video, Anita Sarkeesian called Sargon of Akkad a “garbage human” to his face from the panel, stating…
“If you Google my name on YouTube, you get shitheads like this dude, who are making these dumbass videos that just say the same shit over and over again. It’s like, I hate to give you attention, because you’re a garbage human.”
“But the fact that these dudes are making endless videos that just go after every feminist, over and over and over again, I think is part of the issue of why we have to have these conversations.”
Barbara4u2c did a video about the panel, visibly angry about how Anita Sarkeesian paints women as victims.
According to the Vidcon panel description, the Women Online Discussion was supposed to be about women in the content creation space. It states…
“In this session, we’ll break into discussion groups led by women on YouTube to consider the challenges and opportunities that come with creating and engaging online as a woman. Let’s talk about how we can foster new creators and communities, amplify often-marginalized voices, and move forward together.”
Even small YouTubers such as Satsu 2Cents chimed in to criticize Sarkeesian, proving that not all minorities support Anita and the Social Justice Warrior movement.
Of course, out of all of the responses, Sargon of Akkad offered a four minute video analyzing and criticizing Sarkeesian’s behavior, including citing a passage from the VidCon code of conduct that he states Sarkeesian violated.
The passage Sargon refers to is under the “Harassment” section on the official Code of Conduct section on the official website, where it states…
“Disorderly conduct includes (but isn’t limited to) any behavior that is illegal, unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory or causes excessive discomfort to our attendees or guests. If someone doesn’t want to talk to you, don’t keep talking to them. If you do not have permission to touch someone, do not touch them. VidCon loves surprising and interesting unplanned activities, but sometimes things you think are cool might make other people extremely uncomfortable or be very dangerous.”
Sargon of Akkad is petitioning the VidCon organizers to remove Sarkeesian from the harassment panel after the incident, asking his followers to politely contact Hank and John at the following addresses if they agree:
