Call Of Duty: WW2 Zombie Mode Will Be Based On Real Events

For SJWs absolutely mind-bent on killing Nazis, you’ll be able to do so in the Call of Duty: WW2 Zombies mode. The thing is, while that isn’t all that interesting or new, Sledgehammer games revealed that there will be a story mode in in the Zombies this time around that’s actually going to be based on real life events.

The news comes courtesy of comments made by Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield, the two leads heading up Sledgehammer Games’ latest Call of Duty outing. Charlie Intel picked up the comments about the Zombies mode from EDGE Magazine, where the duo admitted they couldn’t give much away but that the Zombies mode was based on “real events”.

Of course there’s a lot of history surrounding odd experiments and journeys into the occult surrounding the Nazis regime; attempts to create Nietszche’s Ubermensch or real life “Superman”. I wonder if they’re going to go the goofy route with it the way Treyarch did with their Call of Duty modes centering around the undead, or if they’ll take a more serious tone with the mode?

According to the EDGE Magazine interview, Condrey and Schofield plan on bringing a hint of their Dead Space signature to the game, saying that the Zombies mode will be “unique to our Dead Space signature.”

The two are alumni from Visceral Games and had originally worked on the Dead Space titles before EA blockbustered it up and they ended up leaving to form Sledgehammer Games, where they’ve been working on even more blockbuster titles for Activision.

The Zombies modes in the current Call of Duty outings have been quite tired and lazy. Most are just retreads of the same thing in a different stage. Hopefully Sledgehammer will break away and try something slightly different to give gamers something “unique”… just like they mentioned to EDGE.

Call of Duty: WW2 is due for release on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC starting this November.

So tired old cod with wolfenstein added on now?

If its based on real events then someone needs to call me to ask about how I killed hitler with a pitch fork.

I threw it from the shores of normandy whilst being chased by a giant enemy crab and it got him in berlin.

I really do wish CoD would venture into alternate reality / alternate timeline scenarios. That’d be a nice way to revitalize the franchise instead of going back to World War II. Shit. Do something with Steampunk. Just something other than the same old same old. Going back to WWII was their response to EA’s Battlefield 1, I imagine, and instead of having a little back bone and try something new, they’re recycling old material. As much as I love CoD, I give them shit because I love the franchise.

Does anyone care about “real events” anymore ?, everyone seems keen into making up what really happened there, probably a bunch of diverse lgbt amazons decapitated Hitler and won the day

Honestly i am not interested in going back to ww2 or zombies.

Gotta agree here. All modern Zombie maps in CoD have been: Aggro a big pile. Kite around the map in a circular fashion. Repeat until boss/special wave and then go back to kiting the big gay pile of fast zombies so allies (or you if solo) can take it down. Bonus, spam monkey bombs when someone gets downed.

Not sure how they could dramatically change this by adding stuff from Dead Space. You can already bust the zombies apart by shooting/exploding limbs. That was DS’s biggest feature right there. Other than that, I guess they could slow things down to DS combat speeds?

Literally that’s the first thing that came to mind. I wouldn’t mind that at all, but changing up the formula that drastically could really hurt mind-share of the mode and I don’t know if Activision would allow for that.
