Funcom managed to hit it big with Conan Exiles when it entered into Early Access on Steam early this year thanks to the game’s gratuitous, unfiltered nudity, physics-based adjustable dongs, and bare boobs for everyone to see. There was also the crafting, fighting, building, scavenging, and surviving, but the real news about Conan Exiles launching was all about that big, thick schlong. Well, console gamers will be able to soon experience what Funcom has allowed PC gamers to experience for the last several months.
According to a press release sent out by Funcom, they’ve not only revealed that the game is coming to the Xbox One on August 16th, they also revealed that Conan Exiles will receive a free 4K update for the Xbox One X when it arrives on November 7th.
Additionally, PC gamers won’t be left out in the wild, either. They will introduce the first major expansion pack for the game on PC when it launches into the Xbox Game Preview program on August 16th.
Funcom’s head of games, Lawrence Poe, explained what gamers can expect from the new expansion pack, saying in the press release…
“By releasing the free expansion update on PC and Xbox One simultaneously with the Xbox One Game Preview launch, we will provide players on both platforms with a new and fresh experience that expands the world of Conan Exiles by roughly 50% and comes complete with entirely new environments, monsters, buildings, game features, and more,”
“As the game is still in Early Access, everyone who has already bought or decides to buy the game while it’s still in development will get access to this massive update at no extra charge.”
Talking about new content surely isn’t the same as seeing it, though. I guess it’s a good thing that they released a new trailer for you to check out.
Heading North…. with mammoths, and dire wolves, and the whole works.
The game also introduces the new snowy biome that makes it a little bit more difficult to survive compared to the desert. The swinging schlongs likely won’t be making it into the Xbox version, but we’ll see how far Funcom takes it when the game goes live on August 16th.
They have plans on deep diving into the new expansion content after E3 wraps up this year. But you can learn a little more about it by visiting the official Conan Exiles website.
