Hell Let Loose, Gritty WW2 Game For PC Set To Release In 2018

A lot of new games have been announced recently and one of the latest games set to come out next year in 2018 is Black Matter’s Hell Let Loose. The FPS World War 2 game is said to be opposite of games like Call of Duty or Battlefield, and will be a realistic gritty take on the war, offering players a more strategic play-style compared to other arcade shooters. Hell Let Loose is set to come out exclusively for PC sometime in 2018.

I love World War 2 games, but it seems like a massive flood of WW2 games are currently out or set to come out and seem as if that they are, once again, being worn out like before with a lot of repetitive content. However, if you are looking for a game that will come out exclusively for PC and sports no reticle, no aim assist, weapons that can jam and overheat, intense gore, destructible environments and a real hierarchy commander system, then Hell Let Loose might be a game worth keeping an eye on.

The World War 2 FPS game is running on the Unreal Engine 4 by a small indie dev team named Black Matter, which this team seeks to explore different theaters of WW2 that includes German, Japanese, Russian, British and U.S. campaigns in a PvP setup.

Each map in the game will be around 4km2 — recreated from archival satellite photography — accompanied by a battlefield divided up into large cap sectors, allowing for emergent yet constant unique gameplay. Hell Let Loose pits two factions against each other in these big maps and sees fifty players in a fight to the death across fields, bridges, forests and towns.

Moreover, supply lines, vehicles and spawn points must be established by players to build up a proper garrison across the battlefield, unlike most games where vehicles and spawns are prefixed in a linear way on the map.

No gameplay footage is up as of this moment, but there will be a closed-alpha test of Hell Let Loose starting sometime in October of 2017 for PC. You can either watch a video overview by Westie or you can hit up the game’s official website to learn more.
