Super Dimension Neptune Vs Sega Hard Girls, Cutesy And Bizarre JRPG Arrives On Steam

A collaboration between Sega and Idea Factory International resulted in the crossover game from Compile Heart, Super Dimension Neptune Vs Sega Hard Girls. The game sees ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko and Sega teaming up together where the Neptunia girls face off with a group of other girls who are Sega video game consoles that turn into anthropomorphic anime girls.

The premise sounds as ridiculous as you would expect, but it’s apparently a very enjoyable turn-based RPG that tons of Japanese Steam gamers have absolutely fallen in love with. In fact, the game has already garnered very positive user review ratings after barely being made available for two days on Steam.

So far the only major issue you’ll need to watch out for is if you’re running a monitor with a 144hz refresh rate. There are apparently some problems with the game not properly refreshing for anything higher than 60hz. Nevertheless, you can still set the monitor refresh to 60hz for 60 full frames per second just until they issue a patch to rectify the problem.

The game itself sees the two factions of girls going on a typical over-the-top JRPG adventure where hijinks ensue, lots of moe characters pop up, and there’s plenty of bizarre encounters with all manner of wacky villains.

The games are complete tongue-in-cheek fanfare, so if you enjoy role-playing adventures with cute anime girls and turn-based combat, then this is probably right up your alley.

Also, since this game is just a spin-off title and not a mainline entry, it’s discounted pretty cheap at the starting price of $29.99. During the first week of being on sale you can pick up a copy for 30% off the normal price, for only $20.99.

Additionally, if you’re interested in more than just Superdimension Neptune vs Sega Hard Girls, there’s a collection of DLC packs, and a couple of different deluxe bundles on sale as well. You can check out the Steam store page for more info on the latest launch of the PC version for the popular JRPG series.
