Over 40 classic and licensed cars make an appearance in-game, accompanied by over 10 tools and 1,000 plus parts.
“Build and expand your repair service empire in this incredibly detailed and highly realistic simulation game, where attention to car detail is astonishing. Find classic, unique cars in the new Barn Find module and Junkyard module. You can even add your self-made car in the Car Editor.”
Now that you know what Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 has to offer gamers, two guide videos are up for your viewing pleasure. The first video features commentary and is more of a playthrough, but it does outline some important features.
The first video by GrayStillPlays that clocks in at 26 minutes shows the starting segment, how to replace car brakes, tire and oil changes and more.
If you happen to be having trouble with tires and how to replace them in Car Mechanic Simulator 2018, the second video guide specifically details how to do just that in a near three minute package. The tire video guide comes in by MR STYLZ.
The game features 50 different levels and you can unlock new skills, tools and abilities as you complete tasks. These tools and abilities will allow you to make more advanced upgrades.
In order to begin modifying the car you’ll have to first right click the car. You’ll need to first move the car over to the lift.
If you need to do replace a part, you have to go into Examine Mode and check the part to see if it’s bad. You can now also add damaged parts to the Part Notes so you can know what to replace and where.
For things like draining the oil, you’ll need to go into the Parts Overview mode and take off the oil filter. Move down to the oil drain under the car and right click on it to drain the oil.
In order to replace a removed part, you’ll need to switch to the Part Mount mode from the radial menu. Be sure to screw the objects back in.
To take off the tires, simply select the tires while the car is raised on the lift and take off the lug nuts, as showcased in the video below from DieselDesign Gaming.
If you need to purchase new parts, you can do so using the in-game computer. Simply select what parts you need to purchase for the car.
