Fate/Extella Lands On Steam July 25th

Marvelous Entertainment announced that Fate/Extella will be making the leap from the PlayStation to the PC this summer starting July 25th.

Blues picked up the press release from XSeed Games and Marvelous Entertainment, who announced that the game will debut on the PC via Steam. The game features 16 different playable characters, including the highly popular fan-favorite Artoria Pendragon, and other champions who come from Fate/Extra, Fate Stay Night, Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order.

The story revolves around players utilizing the Servants to take control of a digital world known as SE.RA.PH. There are multiple stories involving the different factions, each one looking to wrest control from the other. The digital realm of SE.RA.PH., centers on a world devastated and affected by the events that took place throughout the Holy Grail War in the previous game. Story wise, if you haven’t been keeping up with the Fate games you might come in a little lost, but they do try to explain some of the events as the campaign mode unfolds and we learn more about the main characters and their role in taking over control of the digital world.

The press release also mentions that the PC version – just like the Nintendo Switch version – will include the Japanese voice-overs, along with subtitles for English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean.

XSeed and Marvelous have been on a roll when it comes to releasing games across multiple platforms, and despite some of the games being rather simplistic in nature, they’re really focused on providing quality mid-budget titles for a niche audience. They’re also one of the few studios who seem to respect and take their demographic into deep consideration when launching their games in the West.

You can look for the PC version of Fate/Extella to drop at the end of the month, assuming you don’t already own the PlayStation 4 version.
