Injustice 2 Starfire Trailer Shows Off Her Curves And Insane Zoning

You want to zone in Injustice 2? You want to zone while watching a sexy orange chick in a scanty costume fire off cosmic projectiles? Well, NetherRealm has a solution for you in the form of the former Teen Titan, Starfire.

A new trailer was released showing Dick Grayson’s girlfriend all fired up as she attempts to get revenge for the death of her boy toy at the hands of Damien Wayne. The minute and a half long trailer focuses on Starfire’s ability to create space from her opponents as well as trap them in a number of unflattering positions for punishment when it comes to zoning both from above and from the side. You can check it out in the trailer below.

Prepare to prep your anti-zoning characters when you fight a legit player online who is manning Starfire, because this girl will keep you distanced further than a hottie on Facebook keeping you in the friend-zone.

She has a couple of unique abilities where she can start a combo and link it into a projectile pushback attack that (surprise, surprise) zones her opponent. She also has the ability to fly overhead and create (surprise, surprise) a zone from the top position. I can see Starfire being an absolute menace in the tournament scene (assuming Injustice 2 lives long enough in the tournament scene to see her dominate).

Starfire’s counters and combos aren’t put on display quite as much as her ability to zone. It seemed to be the theme of the trailer: you like to annoy people with long-distance projectiles? Play Starfire.

Luckily there’s a guide on how to deal with zoners, in case you were interested.

I’m sure we’ll get to see more of her when she preps for release next month in August.

The trailer rounds out with her special attack, which looks quite spectacular if I must say so myself. She literally takes her opponent out of the world and gives them one big blast of green energy before returning to the arena.

Starfire will round out the first Injustice 2 DLC pack of characters, which also includes Sub-Zero and Red Hood.

What, you mean in her 1950s diaper?

To be fair, that’s The New 52 version of Starfire if I’m not mistaken….and no one wants New 52 Starfire.

The Nu52 Grimdark Kori was replaced with a much nicer (and flatter) version:

My go-to Starfire has always been the one from the Teen Titans animated series, so I don’t mind Injustice’s Starfire being more like that one rather than The New 52 version.

Also: The newer Starfire (the nicer one in the image above) doesn’t seem flatter if you ask me (comparing the two images makes me feel like she’s a tiny bit larger than New 52 Starfire in fact).

I have to say, this one looks flat as well. Like, the breasts look very two-dimensional, broad but flat.

      I definitely prefer this one.
