This week was a bit of a confusing one, as we had an interview that left a ton of people confused and bewildered about an interview that Senran Kagura producer had with PlayStation Lifestyle, where a lot of people came away thinking that the series would be toned down to meet the standards of Social Justice Warriors. However, later in the week it was all cleared up .
Also, popular YouTuber Dunkey took a straight blast to the head of game journalists, forcing them to look into the mirror of objectivity, which resulted in them getting sprayed in the face with the bukkake of truth by a YouTuber who held nothing back. Suffice to say, they were not fond the taste left in their mouth. These stories and not many more in this July 15th, 2017 edition of the Weekly Recap.
Mass Effect: Andromeda DRM Removed
BioWare made the odd decision to remove the Drm from Mass Effect: Andromeda in patch 1.09 even though the latest version of the game hadn’t been cracked… yet. Apparently people didn’t even want to waste their time cracking all the updates for SJW: Andromeda and BioWare didn’t want to have to pay to keep the game updated. Cyberpunk 2077 is still seeing new hires come in, including a Japanese specialist and a network programmer for the multiplayer. 2K Games unleashed a ton of new details to YouTubers about WWE 2K18, and the game actually sounds really cool…. but whether or not it plays cool is a whole other story. Warframe is going open-world in its latest Plains of Eidolon update due out later this year. And there’s a Mega Man Maker that has been released to the public, allowing gamers to make their own Mega Man games based on the 8-bit and 16-bit era of titles.
Game Critics Get Butthurt By Dunkey
The video game journalists came out screeching and hollering online after YouTuber Dunkey took them to task for being bad at their jobs. They were more butthurt than John Travolta at a lesbian strapon party. The official beta dates for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 were revealed. A lot of claims of corruption have been flying high surrounding the Friday The 13th: The Game due to some mod favoritism. This year’s EVO 2017 Championship Series will once again air on ESPN 2 on cable, not that anyone watches ESPN. And TimeSplitters Rewind is on hold due to CryEngine and licensing issues.
Senran Kagura Won’t Be Censored
The producer of Senran Kagura games came back to clarify his wording after an explosive interview with PlayStation Lifestyle that left many waifu hunters scared and angry. He basically made it known that Senran Kagura would not be toned down for Western release. The official release date for Gran Turismo Sport was revealed for October 17th 2017 for the PS4. The creator of Cyberpunk, Mike Pondsmith, explained his role and influence on helping shape CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. A new OG Xbox emulator has gone live, allowing gamers with beefy rigs to play the classic games on the green and black console. And Neil Druckmann will continue to add in more Social Justice Warrior content into future Naughty Dog games the more he sees anti-SJWism.
