Farming Simulator 17 Platinum Edition Launches November 14th

Focus Home Interactive and Giants Software released a new GamesCom 2017 trailer for the upcoming Farming Simulator 17: Platinum Edition. This includes the original base game of Farming Simulator 17, but with the added variety of additional expansions, fixes and updates, making it the definitive version of the game.

Farming Simulator 17: Platinum Edition offers the all new South American map, Estancia Lapacho. It’s based on real-world landscapes, offering up unique vegetation, railway networks, animals and sugarcane fields based on what you would find in the South American horticultural ecosystem.

The Platinum Edition also features all new vehicles for players to command and ride around in, including the new CASE IH A8800 MR sugarcane harvester, and all new brands and vehicles from South American, Polish and Australian manufacturers, including but not limited to Stara, TT, Bizon, and Gessner Industries.

You can snag a look at the new features and farming equipment with the GamesCom trailer below.

First of all, the new location looks gorgeous. The bright, sunny location of Estancia Lapacho, and the idyllic locations set around various types of terrain and locations – including inland farms, docks, and mountainous regions – give the game this completely exotic look that seems quite inviting.

We’re oftentimes thrown into so many dreary, grayish, concrete jungles or barren rural areas, it’s nice to see a tropical location getting the spotlight for once.

The Farming Simulator 17: Platinum Edition will be available starting November 14th for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Mac users. If you already own the base game you can upgrade to the Platinum Expansion from the digital storefront or at select retailers for PC. If you don’t already own the base game, you can buy the full Farming Simulator 17: Platinum Edition package from digital storefronts or retail outlets, which includes the base game and the expanded content.

Console gamers will also be able to get in on the action as well via retail outlets or by simply owning the Season Pass. Additionally, you’ll receive the update for free if you purchased Farming Simulator 17: Premium Edition. You can learn more by visiting the official website.
