Square Enix released a new GamesCom 2017 trailer revealing a crossover with Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series. The aforementioned game will have various items and gear appearing in Final Fantasy XV on home consoles and on PC.

You can check out the near two minute video below showcasing the DLC expansion, courtesy of IGN.

The event is called the “Assassin’s Festival”. It features an all new set of quests and some snazzy new clothes for the main characters.

One of the new missions includes helping out Cidney, while also giving gamers access to Altair’s classic garb, his hidden blade, and the ability to climb towers… just like Ubisoft always wanted.

New stealth mechanics have also been added, including being able to hop into a haystack and stab guards who walk past.

Square really went out of their way to improve the gameplay in Final Fantasy XV, adding in additional parkour, verticality for the city, and the ability to teleport to all new places, such as the rooftops within the city.

The DLC will be free for those who already own Final Fantasy XV on Xbox One or PS4, so you don’t have to worry about ponying up any cash to get your hands on it.

Before the trailer rounds out, they do offer a few tips on how to get your hands on the new digs. In order to unlock the Master Assassin’s Robes for Noctis you’ll need to first acquire a Dream Egg from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, which took place earlier tin the year. This will be available up until late September.

I imagine they’ll provide players with the hidden blade in the actual game.

Some people were confused and started posting memes saying, “I never asked for this”, but some of the more knowledgeable gamers in the comment section had to explain that in Japan, Square Enix publishes Assassin’s Creed games. So the collaboration doesn’t come so far out of left field as you may have originally thought. It’s still odd to see Ubisoft’s stuff in Final Fantasy XV, but it sort… barely makes sense.

You can look for the Assassin’s Festival DLC to arrive, for free, starting August 31st for the Xbox One and PS4.
