Telltale’s latest episode for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series has gone live for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, and mobile devices. You can get your hands on Episode 3 right now. For gamers a little bit peckish for some pertinent pointers in which poignant choices to make and which prickly predicaments to avoid, there is a walkthrough guide available.
The latest episode is only an hour and a half long, clocking in slightly shorter than some of Telltale’s other recent outings, including the first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within. If you need some help with the choices, you can check out the walkthrough below from YouTuber MKIceandFire.
As usual, Episode 3: More Than a Feeling picks up where Episode 2 left off.
The third episode starts with Gamora and Star-Lord walking into the light. There’s a flashback with Peter and his mom. When she leaves Peter in the electronics store the bully will appear and start taunting Peter, almost as if he didn’t get his butt beat like a little beyotch in the last episode. You’ll have the choice of either using your words or using your fists: remember your promise to your mother.
After the bully starts taunting Pete’s mom, you have the choice of talking him down or the choice to “Beat his Ass”.
The flashback will then switch over to Nebula and Gamora. Your choices here will determine what Nebula thinks of Gamora, depending on if you choose to have Gamora act supportive or dismissive of her sister.
During the flashback, Gamora will have the choice of either giving over the device or refusing to give her the device. If you refuse, Nebula will stab Gamora in the back.
After the flashback ends, you’ll have the choice to give Gamora a confidence booster after she feels down over the choices she made with Nebula.
Inside the temple Gamora and Peter will recover Mantis.
You’ll have the choice in asking Mantis about her reasons for using her abilities on Peter. You also get the choice of using Mantis on one of the other crew members, including Groot, Drax or Rocket.
You also have the choice to listen to Mantis’ boring story or you can skip through it. If you listen to her story she will remember it.
You will also have the choice of either siding with some of the crew who want to use the Eternity Forge to bring back the loved ones of the crew, or you can side with the crew members who want to destroy the Eternity Forge. Alternatively, you can choose to think about the decision.
You’ll also have to talk to Rocket, Drax, Groot, Gamora and Nebula before proceeding.
During the argument, you can choose to either keep Nebula around or tell her she has to leave.
After that segment you’ll be able to choose to use Mantis to find the shrine.
Once inside the shrine, you’ll have to realign the status. Fly up to the second level and request a bit of help to get disc aligned. Use the scanner on the broken statue to track the disc where it lies under the pillar. Get Drax or Groot to help.
The last major choice of the episode will be to either destroy the Eternity Forge or power it up.
There’s also an alternate playthrough, where some of the choices differ and there are slightly alternate outcomes. You’ll get a few different sequences as well. You can check it out below vourtesy of RabidRestrospectGames.
Alternatively, if you just want to see what the outcomes are like and how each of the choices differ, AFGuidesHD put together a video only showing the significant choices and what their outcomes are. You can check out the video below.
