The Evil Within 2 Screenshots Detail Whispers From The Past

Bethesda and Tango Gameworks’ The Evil Within 2 is the sequel to the 2014 outing, and to bridge the two games together the latest update on the game details Whispers, which offers a glimpse into the past to flesh out the game’s lore. The Evil Within 2 is set to launch for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 13th.

The Evil Within 2 is shaping up to debut in the next two months for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and while gamers are looking forward to the horror-survival game to hit the store shelves and the digital market, Bethesda is using this time to detail more about the second iteration through new screenshots (or GIFs). Joining the new images showing quick snippets of gameplay comes an explanation behind Whispers.

Below reads a brief summary of what these Whispers offer a player upon searching them out:

“Scattered throughout the world of The Evil Within 2, you can find whispers from the past – events that Sebastian would prefer to forget. One such whisper can be found in a rather nondescript house we explored during our recent hands-on time with the game. And it was through this whisper that we learned even more about Sebastian’s fractured mind – including new insights into Sebastian’s mental state after the events of the first game.”

The above notice explaining the nondescript house is just one of the many locations a player can find these Whispers, which supposedly fleshes out the game’s lore. All of them will provide certain benefits to a player, whether they are resources or a dive into the game’s world.

If you didn’t have the chance to witness the demo, it started with a chase through a facility followed by an encounter with Stefano Valentini (the Photographer), who is the antagonist. This led to a chase with a Mobius agent who happened to be hiding out in a safe house. From here, the place starts to change from Union to Beacon.

The story about the demo in full can be read over on bethesda.net or you can see the latest screenshots/GIFs (if they work properly), showing the events from the demo as seen below.
