NIS America and Sushi Typhoon Games announced that Tokyo Tattoo Girls will be arriving on Steam and on the PlayStation Vita in North America on November 14th, 2017 and in Europe on November 17th, 2017.
The game is about players having to choose a female champion and then decking her out in various tattoos that you put all over her luscious body. The tattoos aren’t just there for looks or for you ogle the chicks’ exposed skin. The tattoos actually contain magical abilities, and they enhance the girls so that you can take them into battle.
Why are you taking them into battle? Well, I’m glad you asked. You see, Tokyo gets raped bad by a calamity, causing it to get cordoned off from the rest of the world. Japan has no choice but to rely on a waifu hunter and his waifus to clean out the 23 cordoned off wards that have become infested and controlled by a powerful group known as Kumi. Players must gather their wits, their waifus, and their tattoos, and head into battle against the ancient evil.
They released a short 34 second teaser trailer that you can check out below to see what the game is all about.
The game’s hook and gimmick is that you can customize and design a variety of different tattoos for the girls, giving them uniquely distinct looks as you help power them up and prep them to take back the 23 wards of Tokyo.
The game seems chiefly Japanese. I would be surprised if the game manages to make it over here Stateside without being censored up and down the wazoo in some fashion or another. I mean, come on… you get to tattoo a bunch of near buck naked chicks to fight off evil? That’s asking for some triggered localizer to burst into the room screaming “Not on my white knight watch!”
Hopefully the censorship doesn’t happen and core gamers don’t become inured with the practices of shady Western localization outfits.
Anyway, you can look for this tattoo-waifu game to land on your PS Vita or a digital Steam store near you starting November 14th.
