Battle Chasers: Nightwar Delayed For Nintendo Switch
Battle Chasers

Sad news for you Switch owners out there: Battle Chasers: Nightwar has been delayed for Nintendo’s hybrid gaming console. Nintendo Everything picked up news from a Kickstarter update where Airship Syndicate notified their backers that the game ran into some minor issues that required an update from Unity.

Airship Syndicate stated in the Kickstarter update that was posted on September 21st…

“We know this is a hotly anticipated version of Nightwar, so we don’t take such delays lightly, but our #1 priority is making sure the version we release performs up to expected standards.

“Once we have a reliable date we can promise, you’ll be the first to know. We don’t expect this delay to be significant, but it’s a bit of an unknown.”

Sadly this means that the game will not be arriving with the Xbox One, PS4 and PC release on October 3rd.

Some of the PR handling Battle Chasers: Nightwar also confirmed that reviews for the Switch version will be on a delay. This means that you can expect most major gaming outlets to roll out reviews for the standard versions of the game, but you won’t have a day-one review available for the Switch version.

According to the Kickstarter update they are still allowing backers to switch versions if they want to, meaning that if you feel as if the delay will disrupt your potential enjoyment of the crowdfunded RPG, you can opt to get the PS4 or Xbox One or PC version. Personally? I would prefer to wait to get the superior version that you can take with you on the go. But if you like sameness, sort of like some people like being married, you can always opt for the Xbox One or PS4 version.

You can look for the base game to become available starting October 3rd, or you can wait until the disclosed time and pick up a copy on the Nintendo Switch.

The turn-based RPG follows a bunch of unlikely misfits and warriors as they attempt to purge the evil that have been unleashed upon the world. The game utilizes traditional turn-based JRPG mechanics, and features a unique cast of characters that stays true to the comic books, including Red Monika wearing a sexy outfit and having jiggle physics. They were putting their priorities in all the right places.
