The Ultimate Laptop With The Versatility Of Studio And Tablet Mode

Microsoft announced the new Surface Pro 2017 in May of 2017, and launched it in June 2017. Note – Microsoft also has an older model Surface Pro 4 which was released in October 2015, the two are similar in many ways, and sometimes are confused as the same laptop. Now let’s talk about the New Surface Pro – 2017, the laptop is 12.3-inches with a design of rounded corners and the versatility to transform into a Laptop Mode, a Studio Mode and a Tablet Mode.

To transform the Surface Pro 2017 into the laptop mode just open the built-in kickstand, and add the Surface Pro Signature Type Cover (sold separately) to experience the full keyboard. Just by lowering the kickstand the new next generation hinge transforms the New Surface Pro in a Studio Mode, and just by closing the kickstand, and removing the Surface Pro Signature Type Cover, it becomes a stand alone Intel Tablet.

The display screen resolution on the Surface Pro 2017 is 2736 x 1824 (267PPI), with Gorilla Glass 4, the battery life really depends on the user, which is the case with most electronics, average users can expect up to 13 hours, heavy duty users can expect up to 5-7 hours of battery life.

The front-facing 5mp with 1080p Skype HD video, and the rear-facing autofocus camera is a 8mp with 1080p Full HD video and dual microphones. 1,6W stereo speakers with Dolby audio premium.

The RAM options are – 4GB, 8GB ,and 16GB, and storage drive (SSD) options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. The availability of ports includes – 1- USB 3.0, microSDXC card reader, Surface Connect, a 3.5mm Headset jack, a Mini Display Port, and a Cover port (No USB-C) and comes shipped with Windows 10 Pro and Hello Windows.

Recently Microsoft introduced LTE Advanced, this modem allows users to use the New Surface Pro anywhere, with LTE Advanced it comes unlocked for any mobile provider, just insert a removable SIM card or buy data from the Microsoft Store. According to Windows Central only one model is available with LTE Advanced, the Intel Core i5-7300U with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM priced at $1,449 USD.

The Surface Pro 2017 m3 core processor offers – 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 615 and is fanless, it starts at $799. The i5 core processors is available in three options and each are fanless, offer – 128GB SSD, 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 620 starts at $999, also an i5 core processor with 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 620 and starts at $1,299. The i5 LTE Advanced (mentioned above) has 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 620 starts at $1,449.

The i7 is available in three options, each with a fan – i7 core processor with 256GB SSD 8GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 starts at $1,599, and the i7 – 512GB SSD 16GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 starts at $ 2,199, and the i7 core processors offers – 1TB SSD, with 16GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 starts at $2,699.
