We often don’t see many games explore hellish environments and enemies that make you feel uncomfortable, nor do we get many games that ride on the torment of the helpless. Well, PlayWay and Madmind Studio seek to bring the aforementioned to life with their flesh-bending game, Agony, which is slatted to debut for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 30th, 2018.
Unlike its sibling game by Ebb Software, Scorn, there isn’t all that much information floating around PlayWay and Madmind Studio’s Agony, only up until now. According to a tweet and Steam update we learn that Agony has a release date set for PC, PS4 and Xbox One come March 30th, 2018.
We finally have a solid release date for You!

Curious gamers looking to peer into the depths of hell will find on the surface that Agony doesn’t shy away from exposing excessive skin, bloody scenes and the likes found in some depictions of hell. At its core, Agony is a first-person, survival horror-adventure game.
Furthermore, the title has you assuming the role of a “tormented soul” within the depths of hell, no memories about your past, no memory of anything. The efforts to escape hell’s vice-grip manifests through an ability to control people and possess demons. However, by utilizing the power of possession you can explore “hostile environments” and interact with other weary souls, in which the only way to escape from this thing called hell is to hunt down and find the Red Goddess.
The same concern that I had for Scorn that I’m currently feeling now for Agony is that, hopefully, no prominent walking simulation aspects seep into what could be one helluva ride.
Instead of me blabbering on what Agony aims to present on the forefront, the official gameplay trailer that was released some time ago can be seen right here.
If the above didn’t sate your interest, more details on Agony sits over on its main website agonygame.com.
