Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night Orchestral Arrangement Album Arrives Oct 30th

Looking for a sweet Halloween treat that hearkens back to the golden age of gaming? Well, you’re in luck because Materia Collective announced that pre-orders have opened up for Resurrection of the Night, a rearranged album of orchestral music based on Konami’s classic Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

The 13-track album will be available starting October 30th for only $13 digitally via Bandcamp.

Alternatively, you’ll be able to pick up a CD or vinyl version of Resurrection of the Night from over on the Materia Collective page when the album becomes available at the end of the month.

The album features rearranged songs based on the original soundtrack from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night from composer Michiru Yamane. Tim Stoney and Wayne Strange have taken up the arrangement duties for the album, and the duo would also like to extend those duties to Resurrection of the Night: Alucard’s Elegy. The follow-up album is scheduled to land on Kickstarter, with Strange noting in the press release…

“We intend to delve deeper into the anguish that Alucard must endure with Alucard’s Elegy. Because we would be moving into more story-driven material we would like to make this experience a truly authentic one. That means hiring a professional choir, and, if our dreams are fully realized, a symphony orchestra. But enough talk, have at you!”

You can actually listen to the soundtrack below, ahead of the official release, courtesy of the Bandcamp page.

Fans of the original PlayStation outing will quickly recognize many of the songs from the classic outing from 20 years ago.

And even though Koji Igarashi has moved on from Konami to pursue the revitalization of the true Castlevania experience with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, you can relive the classic soundtrack from the iconic game in full HD rearrangements thanks to Materia Collective.

You can look to pick up a copy of the album starting next week on October 30th.
