Europa Universalis IV: Cradle Of Civilization Will Focus On Muslim Nations

Paradox Interactive announced that the newest expansion for Europa Universalis IV called Cradle of Civilization. The expansion takes players to the nations composed of the “religion of peace”. Yes, you’ll be able to manage, grow, explore and fight over Muslim nations.

According to the press release, players will be able to manage Muslim civilizations throughout time, from Sennacherib to Timur and every other period in between.

The $19.99 expansion will allow players to deal with the Mamluk government, the Persians, the tribes of Armenia and the battles at Mesopotamia, as well as cut the education down the middle between the rivalry between the Sunni and Shia disciplines, along with dealing with the Iqta taxes.

Paradox Interactive unveiled a video trailer showcasing all of the major content of the upcoming Europa Universalis IV: Cradle of Civilization expansion, which is due for release in late 2017. You can check out the trailer below.

Funnily enough, the biggest complaints on the trailer are about the narrator and his poor elocution of the script through the heavy accent.

Beyond the majority of complaints about the narrator, the next set of comments are about the game needing to have a GOTY edition with all of the previously released DLCs included in the package instead of new expansion packs.

What surprised me most was the lack of political arguments in the comment section about Muslims getting the spotlight in the Europa Universalis IV expansion. Either the comments were removed or there just weren’t many, but I was only able to spot one comment about ISIS.

The rest of the comments were complaining about DLC.

Anyway, Europa Universalis IV: Cradle of Civilization will be available later this year exclusively for PC for only $19.99. If you need further info on the expansion you can visit the Paradox Plaza for more details.
