You can currently download the GT Sports limited demo from over on the PlayStation Store. It’s being reported by WCCF Tech that pre-downloads are currently live ahead of the demo unlocking for PlayStation Plus and normal PlayStation Network users.
The demo is a whopping 43GB in size, so you’ll be downloading the game pretty much all weekend long. The highlight is that it should be ready when the demo officially unlocks first for PlayStation Plus members starting October 9th on Monday at 12:00am Pacific Standard Time. You’ll be able to play all the way up until the evening of October 12th in the middle of the week.
Don’t fret, though. Normal PlayStation Network users who aren’t paying into the coffers of Sony’s online multiplayer coffin will be able to enjoy the limited time demo as well, starting October 9th at 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time in the evening.
Yes, PlayStation Plus members will have access to the game three quarters of the day ahead of normal users. I guess that’s what you get for scrapping coins with your hands while the devil keeps his own in your back pocket.
Anyway, you’ll have to judge for yourself if 43GB is worth the install to only play it for four days. The demo comes with some cars and tracks but they don’t say which ones. You can also earn up to $1 million in credits during the demo and it will transfer over to your profile in the full game.
Speaking of the full version of Gran Turismo Sport… the game launches for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation VR starting October 17th.
Don’t get your hopes up too high for the VR aspect of the game because it’s limited with the sort of tracks you’ll be able to play and the matches will only be one-on-one bouts.
